i've used it enough times now that i've decided to keep my gopro hero9 camera. to mark this occasion i finally went ahead and removed the plastic films from the screens and applied the tempered glass protectors that came with the silicone sleeve and replacement battery door.

i've been wearing these house slippers my mother gave me 2 weeks ago. she bought them for my father a long time ago and he's never worn. they're size 9 which are a little big for me, but i just wear them around the house so it's not a big deal. sometimes i'll forget to wear them though, because i'm so used to just walking around the house barefoot, i don't have a slipper habit. but it's nice during the winter, keeps my feet warm so i don't have to wear socks.

for dinner i just had a can of green giant while kernel sweet corn and a glass of passion fruit juice. i boiled an electric kettle worth of water for making black tea.

the weather today was crap. it didn't rain, but it was grey and overcast. it looked cold but it was actually warmer than average, with temperature hovering in the mid-40's. the weather's been like this for more than a week now. a few weeks ago i thought we'd set a new solar energy production record for december given how much electricity we were making, but now that the month, we actually made the least amount of electricity: december 2021 has been the least production month on record.

i didn't go anywhere today, with the exception of the dollar store, to grab some more candy.

i filmed a few living room time lapse and learned something new today: when i hit the quick record button, a short press will record a video, while a long press will record a time lapse. that's why i thought it was weird when the camera felt a little warm and the battery was down to 25% (i was shooting a real time video).

for dinner i reheated some leftover pizza. i also made some gosari banchan, just tossed a bunch of ingredients together. it wasn't anything special, but at least i finally got to use up all the gosari i soaked overnight from a week ago.

betty white passed away today. she was 99 years old, just weeks shy of her 100th birthday next month. they didn't say how she died, and from what i've heard, there was no sign she was ailing or had any health issues. i like to think she just passed away peaceful in her sleep.

i finally finished updating all my blog posts for 2021 (the last missing entry was the head of the charles). i spent the rest of the evening compiling my 2021 year in review. it'll actually take a few days to get it done, i've gone as far as march april june so far.
