i went out for a run this morning, left at 10:30am, got back by 11:30am. temperature was in the 40's with spotty clouds in the sky. there was a bit of wind so i tried to stay in the sunlight as much as possible in order to keep warm. i spotted some fragrant orange witch hazels near lesley university brattle campus. besides that, the run wasn't anything particularly interesting. for the final few hundred yards i started counting my pace in order to make it to the end. one thing i've noticed is i haven't cramped up since i started running last spring. i used to cramp all the time, my left or right of my torso hurting so much i couldn't run anymore.

after a shower i made an omelette for lunch: 2 eggs mixed with some half & half, some frozen diced ham, some red onions, crumbled blue cheese, parmesan cheese, and spicy salsa from a jar. i washed it all down with some hot chocolate (with milk).

my mother asked me to research glue guns, as she couldn't find the one she brought to the cafe. she needs it to make her crochet flowers. my sister has one but couldn't find it either. my mother asked if michael's sold any cordless versions and asked me to get one for her if they did. i looked on their website, michael's doesn't carry any cordless glue guns. i ended up ordering one from amazon - the WORKPRO cordless hot glue gun - for $27. it's a little pricey, as the average for a cordless glue gun was around $20, but i saw the WORKPRO listed on several best of lists when it came to glue guns, so i thought it was worth it.

i didn't go out again until 6:30pm, when i went to the star market lot to see if i could spot the moving starlink satellite constellation flying overhead. there was a 5 minute window but i couldn't see a thing, maybe there was just too much light pollution, maybe i wasn't looking in the right direction. i also had the gopro and my webcam pointing out the window and towards the sky, but neither of those cameras caught anything either. the satellites will be reappearing tomorrow and thursday night as well, so i'll try looking again if the weather is clear.

for dinner i heated a frozen pizza in the oven. i ate while watching the celtics-bucks game. boston was without most of their stars: tatum, brown, horford, smart. but the celtics held there own, and led by double digits at one point. bucks looked to win in the final seconds, until hauser shot a 3-pointer to send the game into overtime. things looked good for the celtics in the first few minutes, but some defensive stops on the bucks tilted the game in milwaukee's favor and they ended up winning, 131-125. if there's any consolation, the celtics were well matched with the bucks despite not having 4 of their starters. should they meet up again in the playoffs, i like boston's chances.
