i called the hospital this morning, made an appointment for next tuesday afternoon to have somebody take a look at my arm. more than a month after my injury, it still hurts, and i can't grasp with my right hand. in the brief time before i had before i left for the cafe, i also helped my father pay the car excise and house property taxes.

today was the busiest day this week at the cafe. my aunt came early, around 11am. after she left, we got 4 large pick-up orders all happening at the same time, something like 7 bento boxes and an equal amount of bubble tea. we ran out of rice and had to cook some more midway though to complete the orders. while my father and i were plate spinning trying to fulfill the requests, my sister was out front making the bubble teas. once that was over though, things were more manageable, just a slow and steady stream of customers, nothing crazy.

i finally returned home around 4pm. i went to star market briefly to pick up some pineapples and asparagus on sale. later in the evening i made another sandwich for dinner.
