my father came to pick me up in the late morning because it was raining, and i moved out the last of my grow closet seedlings, including 4 buttercup squashes, 1 bitter melon, 6 thai basils, 5 rudbeckia 'cherokee sunset', and 2 snowy spires.

for lunch my mother made some rice noodles. she was also cooking the chicken feet and after she poured in the spice packet, i ate them while watching the pacific war in color on the smithsonian channel.

when the rain finally let up in the afternoon, i went into the backyard for an hour just taking photos.

after dinner my father gave me a ride back to cambridge. by then the rain had stopped, but it was cold, temperature around 47°F.

one of my lotus seedlings has grown so tall that it's popped out of the water surface. that means it's ready for transplanting, but with the weather outside currently so cold, i won't be able to do that until tuesday at the earliest.

i've been consistently going to bed around 4am each night, and it feels like it's finally catching up to me, as i find myself increasingly tired during the daytime and occasionally nodding off. so i went to bed before midnight, which almost never happens. even then, i was videos from bed (netflix's army of the dead) and didn't actually go to sleep until 1:30am.
