did a little cleaning today, got a chance to return an assortment of cans and glasses that'd been sitting in my kitchen recycle bin for months. unfortunately the star market automated deposit machines occasionally break down, and the only one that was working was the one for the cans. i ended up saving the plastic and glass bottles for another time. i then went to the dollar store to look for cheap knit caps with pom poms i can pilfer for one of my mother's projects; unfortunately they didn't have any. i returned to star market to cash in my deposit slip and left with some snacks.

i poured the foaming drain-o into my bathtub, which has started to drain slowly again. all these chemical solutions are just temporary fix. what i really need to do is go down to the basement, open up the cleanout cap, and snack the drain.

for dinner i finished the last of my grilled cheese sandwiches.
