li disappeared at 7:30am to go black friday shopping at a factory outlet mall with a coworker of his that was returning to china at the end of the month (the same coworker currently live in my grand uncle's apartment, who's room li will inherit next week when she leaves). having no car, i wondered how they were going, and li told me there was a service (chinese-operated) that takes you to and from factory outlets for a $30 roundtrip fee.

i spent the day at home, scouring the internet for black friday deals, though mostly just refreshing amazon's lightning deals. there wasn't that much that looked interesting, i did end up buying a garlic press ($7.99) and a knockoff waterpik ($23.99, dr.meter brand) that looks remarkably similar to a real waterpik.

li finally returned around 6pm after a full day of shopping. they ended up not going to wrentham as i'd assumed but rather to an outlet at nashua new hampshire because of no sales tax. they went with a 3rd coworker and there was a 4th passenger in the car they didn't know who also signed up for the ride.

i shared some of the leftover thanksgiving with li, who's never had it peking duck style before, but said it was pretty good. he was ecstatic when he saw pig ears, which he said it's been forever since he had that. later we ate the 2 leftover flan i had in the fridge, he liked that as well.
