2016

i waited for freddy to leave around noontime before turning down the heat and leaving myself. the motorcycle wouldn't start initially, until i discovered that it doesn't like it when i pull out the choke knob completely; give it a gentle pull, and the engine roars to life without stalling. the temperature today was in the 40's, not the warmest, but the sun was out, so it wasn't too bad.

there was leftover thanksgiving turkey waiting for me in belmont, but for lunch i had some sauerkraut noodles. my parents had already collapsed the dining table. the seed feeder in the backyard was empty so i went out to fill it. later in the afternoon the sparrow horde arrived, along with some chickadees. my father had to work at the cafe in the late afternoon, to relieve my 2nd aunt who was going to a holiday part. for dinner i finally did have some turkey, along with half a flan (i gave the other half to my father). while eating dinner, i noticed freddy was home so i turned up the heat for him.

i wasn't looking forward to the ride home, with temperature in the lower 40's. but it wasn't too bad, despite not having a thermal layer underneath my jeans and billowing condensation smoke out of my mouth like a chimney. freddy was in his room with the door closed, i didn't see him until later in the evening when he came out to use the bathroom. my upstairs neighbors were back, i knew this because suddenly loud music began blaring from the 2nd floor. thankfully it was brief and i was only contemplating murder for an hour.

my back pain seems to be getting better now. i can stand on one leg without excruciating pain, and can walk around instead of hobbling. hopefully another good night of sleep will bring be back to normal.
