i didn't realize there are different chipset versions of the xiaomi redmi 3 note. the one that i got has the mediatek helio x10 chipset instead of the snapdragon chipset i was hoping to get. i shouldn't complain too much though: originally i wasn't even going to get the redmi 3 note, since i couldn't find any seller on jd.com who had it in stock at a reasonable price. i was just going to settle for the smaller 5" redmi 3, but sunmeng managed to find a local vendor who sold the redmi 3 note for RMB1000. but i don't like the mediatek chipsets because they're hard to flash. but as long as i can install google apps on there i'll be very happy with the current stock MIUI 7 ROM.
