i rode the motorcycle to the porter square michael's in the late morning to pick up a skein of lion brand vanna's choice yarn in oatmeal for my mother ($2 after coupon). i then tried to get across strawberry hill and huron village area to get to belmont, but the streets were like a maze of partially dug up roads and detours due to the ongoing everlasting drainage construction work.

hailey was in the house when i arrived. i had noodles for lunch when my mother came home. i spent most of the afternoon switching over my parents' homeowner and car insurance from progressive to costco ameriprise. they managed to save $400 for homeowner and a $1000 in auto insurance by making the switch. my mother's only regret was not having done it a lot sooner.

it was weird returning home and not be drenched in sweat because i was riding the motorcycle. on the bicycle, even on the best of days, i always arrive damp, if not completely drenched like i went swimming in my clothes. ana was home, she made a bit of dinner around 9p. at 10p i heard what i thought was the washing machine, but then later i realized it was the dishwasher. that machine hasn't been used in ages, and never by a roommate. she washed the stovetop grates for some reason. it was weird but i was chill about it, at least she's keeping clean!
