* biked to the cafe to set up the new samsung wireless printer. didn't realize how tiny the thing was, with an external paper tray that pulls out. everything works (network printing, wireless printing, both from pc and phone) except USB printing, which meant i also couldn't upgrade the firmware. the USB might possibly be broken - not serious enough to be a deal breaker, would be a hassle to return anyway. had some rice noodles for lunch before leaving

* picked up a small discarded wooden cabinet on my way home (carried it on the back of my bike on the rack); inside one of the drawers contained a mysterious coin (more on that later)

* walked to the UPS store on somerville avenue to return a lesportsac medium travel tote for my mother

* that mysterious coin with a hole in the center had arabic writing but also what looks to be hebrew. a search for "arabic coin hole middle" found very little information. then i noticed on the back what appears to be an old-fashion phone dial - and made the connection that maybe this coin was a phone token. turns out that's exactly what it was, an israeli asimon circa 1982.
