when i arrived in belmont, the first thing i did was to look for my missing pants button. apparently i ate so much last night, i literally burst open my pants while getting out of the car. it was dark so i couldn't see anything. in the light of day however, the missing button was still nowhere to be found. fortunately i have a stockpile of cheap buttons from my time in china; i just need to find them and sew one onto my pants.

the final season game between the bills and the patriots, a meaningless game, made even more so when buffalo pulled ahead early on. sure, it'd be nice to have an undefeated home record against division foes in december, but not at the risk of hurting our best players before the playoffs. still, it'd be nice for the pats to end 2014 with a statement game, instead of sort of treating it like a scrimmage. maybe it's all part of the plan, save the best for the post-season!

season 3 marathon of the wire was happening on HBO, i watched as much as possible. all HD episodes can be streamed from HBO GO anyway, in which i have a membership. i finished watching them when i got home. tomorrow begins season 4, which many fans agree is the best season of the whole series.
