2012

i met client N in allston this morning for a project meeting, my first project of 2012 after a long winter of programming inactivity. i biked to the office but found myself with 7 minutes to spare so i pulled up to the curb and waited for the clock to run out before riding the rest of the way. the project was for 3 interactives in arkansas; i don't think they'll have any problems with the eventual install but maybe i can work in a southern business trip once opening day draws near.

an hour and a half later around noontime we were done. i went home, watched some news, took a shower, then bike to the cafe where my parents were making some new meat buns from a recipe they saw in the local chinese newspaper. my father also took me to see the new greenhouse frames in my great uncle's backyard. my great uncle likes them so much that he wants frames made for the rest of his raised beds - that's 25 pipes that need bending!

i then went to belmont where i watched game 2 between milan and barcelona (i got my schedule mixed up, i thought it was tomorrow). barcelona - particularly messi - was more aggressive and offensive-minded in this match. barcelona scored first on a messi penalty kick, but milan managed to tie it with a goal of their own. it didn't take long for the referee to award messi another penalty kick, putting barcelona on top for good. in the 2nd half barcelona managed to score one more time. if it weren't for those cheap penalty kicks, milan might've advanced in the UEFA champions league.

i returned to cambridge after the game. in the early evening i went to the community garden meeting - not to attend, but just to drop off my $15 membership dues. for dinner i heated up some trader joe's biryani.
