i biked to the union square post office to mail out my state tax returns and my health insurance forms. there was a young woman ahead of me in line wearing cowboy boots applying for her passport for the very first time; she was planning a trip to japan.

i got some groceries on my way back (thinking about making some spicy mexican chicken soup). leaving the supermarket, my milk crate toppled over, throwing all my stuff onto the parking lot. fortunately it wasn't a very busy day so there weren't too many people to see my embarrassment. i also didn't buy anything fragile, just a few dented cans and boxes.

radio silence from client E today came at a perfect time because it gave me the opportunity to finish the work for client N. i was still waiting for graphics until i realized they'd already sent it to me yesterday afternoon. i moved to my bedroom because it was warmer.

my father stopped by briefly to drop off some mantou buns which i later had for dinner. victor didn't come home until almost 9:00. i saw him once more later in the evening when he told me he was going to bed.

the chinese erguotou from last night inspired me to do some more research on homemade alcohol. i know making your own beer and wine are legal pursuits, but making "moonshine" is still a no-no - which makes it that much more interesting (i'm always game for anything that's border line illegal). that's now my new hobby, figuring out how to fractionally distill my own spirits.
