i got an early start on my coding work, thanks in no small part to my much beloved noisy upstairs neighbors who woke me up. in my home office i stayed for most of the day. i had a bowl of cereal while watching the news. the number one problem facing massachusetts citizens? collapsing roofs! solution? ice dam melting socks! i'm looking to make some of my own.

i took a short break in the afternoon to go outside and shovel some snow. i wanted to expand the partial parking space in front of my house, but 1) the snow had already turned to ice, and 2) there was no place to put it. i ended up using a metal digging spade to chip away at the ice snow. i made some progress but still not enough to fit a car, not even a small one.

came evening i had the rest of the frozen chinese dumplings for dinner. i think i overdid it on the raw garlic because i felt a little sick afterwards. i watched a new episode of fringe then the mavericks-celtics game (boston ended up losing but an exciting game all the way to the final seconds).
