i basically spent $25 so the doctor could come and let me know a nurse would be by to take some blood. alone in the exam room, i fought an overwhelming klepto-urge to take something (tongue dispenser, rubber gloves) but i didn't. the nurse taking my blood pressure reading had a concerned look on her face. "my blood pressure may be a little high," i told her in my understated way. "a little high?" she replied in mock disbelief and quickly left the room. i thought she left to call a code red but she came back a few seconds later with a pulse measurer. a got a new 30-day prescription for losartan but i still have to wait a few days before my health insurance will authorize the coverage.
i went to the cafe afterwards. i had a bubble ice tea and my mother packed me some leftovers for dinner. we discussed some wire season 3 before i left.
in need of some cashflow, i'm selling some stocks that i have from a while back (during those halcyon disposable income days). i added a trade trigger to sell a certain share once a particular stock goes above a set number.
finally, found out today when my next roommate will arrive: the 27th. that means i have less than 2 weeks to enjoy my newfound solitude. don't know much details except he's in his 40's and will only be here for a month (the ideal candidate). my patriotic mission is to get him to spend as much money while he's here to help the local economy.
