with rain not scheduled to arrive until the evening, i took the motorcycle out for a spin. first stop was the watertown home depot, to get some miracle-gro plant food for the belmont garden. an old guy with white hair stopped me in the parking lot to ask me some questions about the motorcycle. when i told him how much (or how little) i paid for this used bike, he said he was going online today to buy one himself.

i stopped by belmont briefly. since it'd be raining later, i postponed feeding the vegetables until a drier day. the korean cucumbers (or squashes, we don't know yet) are starting to climb the divider trellises. the orange day lilies have also started to flower. the aloes - green a week ago - have become monochrome and it's probably due to too much sun exposure.

my sister and the dog came back just as i was about to leave. i stopped by the cafe before finally returning home. i went to the community garden to check up on my plants. it's mulberry season as my entire plot was covered in a carpet of fresh mulberries. later all of this will rot, creating a stinking mess until july. i managed to coat the bottom of my shoes in crushed mulberries as i walked inside my garden. i stomped my way back home, trying to dislodge as much of the gunk as possible.

i snacked on some blue cheese and crackers before having some zongzi for dinner, followed by some ripe strawberries. ever since the celtics lost last night, i've managed to stay away from all sports related news, whether on television or online. i did learn that perkins won't be playing game 7. that would just make a celtics victory that much more impressive should boston prevail.
