7:00. i didn't know the time yet but i knew it was early. early for me anyway. "sorry for calling you so early," client P said over the phone, which was another clue. they had some urgent questions about video format that needed answering. maybe in the real world 7:00 isn't that early, but when you go to bed at 3:00 like i did, it puts a kink in the beauty sleep. i was strangely apathetic about the whole affair. the phone call did mean i'd have to remain awake and wait for a crucial piece of e-mail to arrive so i could take a look at some graphics. i then called them back to discuss a solution. when it was all over, it was almost 8:00. i decided it wasn't worth trying to go back to sleep but rather just get a head start on my thursday.

i like mornings, despite rarely been up early enough to fully enjoy them (i am a night person). i like the quiet. i get plenty of quiet late at night, but the feeling is different. mornings represent the start, while nights are the end. as far as mornings go, it wasn't the best: grey clouds made it appear even earlier than it was, with threats of eventual rain. still, it's early enough that i can surf the web guilt-free, not yet within the hours where i need to begin working again.

the rest of the day was spent working, periodically fielding more calls from the client. somebody from the office came by in the late afternoon to deliver some videos burnt onto a disc. i built the second of the two interactives, and also matched the colors and fonts to the physical displays at the museum. i loaded everything onto a thumb drive by evening, ready to be installed onto the final computers tomorrow morning at the client's office.

game 4 of the NBA finals. wow. celtics got the victory, tying the series at 2-2, so now it's a best out of 3 contest. glen davis and nate robinson won the game for boston. big baby was a beast, at one point unleashing a primal scream with a string of drool flying out of his mouth. as happy as i am, i sort of don't understand how the celtics could've won 2 games against los angeles. the lakers play so effortlessly, while the celtics struggle each game, winning not so much with raw talent but through sheer determination. before the game started, i was mulling over the possibility of a 3-1 series but now i don't have to worry about that. game 5 on sunday is going to be insane.
