went to star market today and bought a bunch of canned soups that were on sale, stocking up for the winter. worked leisurely from the couch most of the day. the weather outside hit 70 degrees but it was still 10 degrees colder inside my house. i tried blowing in some of that warmer air inside the house with a fan but it only managed to increase the indoor temperature by a single degree.

in the evening, i went with julie to the all star sandwich bar in inman square to pick up some dinner. i wanted the "beef on weck" but they ran out of beef, so i got the hot italiano instead, while julie went with a cuban. we also got a side of hand-cut fries. we got back just in time to catch the second to last episode of project runway. julie told me weeks ago that jerell gets the boot. my sandwich (salami, capicola, mortadella, ham, provolone, and olive salad) was okay at best and i cut the roof of my mouth from the hard bread. when my roommate came back home, i introduced him to american soup from a can. i didn't get a chance to ask him if he liked it. in china they hardly ever eat anything from a can. produce and meat are purchased fresh from the market. as a matter of fact, canned food is probably more expensive in china, which is the opposite here in america.
