my mother is always trying to get the family up to maine for lobsters, especially these days now that lobster prices have plummeted. but the cost of driving up north would be the same as just buying some local lobsters and cooking them at home. so instead we went out for korean barbecue dinner, minus my sister who had some prior engagement. normally we'd go to koreana by central square, but i suggested we try someplace new and found a korean barbecue restaurant in medford center called chung ki wa. the place was dark with high ceilings, a lot bigger than we thought, with wooden booth tables for the barbecuing. business seemed pretty good as the sounds of people eating and talking filled the background. we ordered the kalbi beef and the pork stomaches, as well as the seafood kimchee chigae soup and scallion pancakes. the cooked pork stomaches tasted like bland bacon (they were better dipped in sauces) and the kalbi was too sweet. the pancake was good but the chigae soup was too expensive for such a small amount. i think it's about the same as koreana; i may return at some later date to try their lunch special.

before i came home i visited the hess station to fill up the tank. 2 gallons worth of gas for about $8. that should be good for 180 miles.

did a little bit of work today, then played some resident evil. watched another mad men, not as good as last week, but good nevertheless. explores the whole madonna/whore complex and how don realizes he's a manwhore while looking in the mirror one morning shaving with his daughter watching (notice how pete had no trouble looking himself in the mirror after bedding a brassiere model). also peggy tries to join in on the boys' club she keeps on getting excluded from.
