fedex came to my house with a delivery yesterday morning but i never heard the doorbell so they left a note saying they'd come back today. so naturally, my schedule was held hostage until the package arrived. it's not even something so highly sensitive that it required my signature; the delivery guy could just as easily slip the cd-rom through my mail slot, save me a lot of trouble. i even woke up earlier than usual just so i could be sure i wouldn't miss the doorbell. fortunately fedex came around noontime, but i'd already planned on staying home the rest of the day. i worked until midnight, figured the more hours i put in now, the less i'll have to do as i approach the deadline. even with these bonus hours though, i'm going to be busy. for lunch i made another goat cheese spinach omelette. for dinner, the rest of my frozen tortellini. for dessert, some vanilla ice cream with some magic shell (chocolate). before i called it a night and retire to my bedroom, i posted the latest code and e-mailed the client some notes.
