have you seen the latest issue of entertainment weekly? the one with the batman/joker cover? flip inside and what do you see? redesign! the one thing that movies like 13 going on 30 has taught me is when a magazine redesigns, it usually means something bad is happening inside the company. and that jennifer garner and judy greer are involved. i hate the new look, it's more like US magazine, with candid photo spreads and a special fashion section. what's happening? is ew losing subscribers? maybe if they stop doing all those list issues, or episode guide issues ("sex and the city" anyone?), or trivia issues. or maybe they're going that route precisely because they're losing readership. i don't mind their movies and television preview issues though, those are actually informative. i mean, how hard can it be to get content for an entertainment magazine? not like they have a lot of competition, most other entertainment-based weeklies are fluff magazines, glossy publications a step above tabloids.

fairly lowkey saturday, left the house one time to run across the street to pick up some bags of potato chips for my weekend binge. happy the weather has cooled off, but the sky still looked like it could rain at any moment. enjoy it while it lasts though, i hear next week we're getting another mini-heatwave.
