with my broken foot, i can't easily around, so when my father said he was going to the grocery store today, i went with him to pick up some food for myself. as soon as i got back home i took off the aircast. i don't know if i should be wearing that thing all the time, but since i'm at home most of the time and i don't do too much walking, i leave it off. however, sometimes i still like to wear it indoors, because it makes me feel like my foot is healing faster when i have it on.

the other big news of the day was the weather. it was fine when i woke up, a bit cloudier by the time i went to the supermarket, but by the late afternoon the sky suddenly darkened and there was a brief period of violent downpour, almost like we were in a hurricane, with horizontal rainfall and thunder and lightning. for some reason i decided to take a shower. i kept imagining myself being electrocuted by a bolt of lightning, the police discovering my naked wrinkled body in the bathtub. what an undignified way to die!
