DEC

2007

sleet fell late last night. all that mixed precipitation froze up this morning as the temperature hovered around the 30's all day, never warm enough to melt anything. i went into the backyard to look around. the deck was covered in hail, like tiny icy ball bearings. the few evergreen shrubs were coated in ice. pretty, but conditions were so that i didn't feel too adventurous and went back inside the house, relegating myself to a day of inactive television watching. the poor cable reception bothered me enough that i called comcast to complain. i was surprised when they told me they'd send somebody over tomorrow morning, free of charge, to check it out. for lunch it was another prosciutto egg english muffin sandwich, sprinkled with some sauteed oyster mushrooms. i eat better during the day than i do at night, although recently it's been either one of two choices: muffin sandwich or french toast. once my supply runs out, i'll think of something new. which reminds me: a possibly large snowstorm this sunday, have to visit the supermarket sometime this week before the weekend.

it's my last week with a roommate. he moves out saturday morning. what was my life like when i didn't have a roommate? i'll rediscover that soon enough.
