i awoke to the tapping of raindrops this morning. a simple day really, just had to finish coding some attract loops for client N that was probably due yesterday. in the afternoon i went with julie to microcenter and trader joe's. i didn't need anything from the computer store, just wanted to admire the 30" apple cinema display. we also got a chance to sample the new leopard OS - despite the many new features, i think this latest system update looks terrible, to tell you the truth. that alone might prevent me from upgrading. at trader joe's i bought mostly food that had little nutritional value. when i got back home i made myself some lunch. based on julie's recommendation i got some bresaola, which i rolled into another egg & bagel sandwich. it was okay, like a light and expensive prosciutto, but i think i'll stick with meats i'm more familiar with.

i finished my code work and unloaded everything online by 5pm. at 6pm i turned up the heat to 68 degrees. for dinner i had two more squares of lasagna. i was going to tell zhu lei he could have the rest but he spent the night without any dinner again and i wasn't going to try and make sense of his irregular feeding schedule. i made some casual chitchat about the weather when he got home and then i didn't see him for the rest of the evening. by midnight i turned the heat back down to 60 degrees.
