i usually get my best sleep done between saturday and sunday. last night was no except, and the only thing that interrupted my blissful slumber was a call from nature. even after waking up, i sort of ease into the day, watching some television in bed before hunger compelled me to get up and look for food. i had some more leftover kentucky fried chicken. maybe my body's becoming more sensitive to greasy food, but i felt queasy after i finished eating and tried in vain to get that gross taste out of my mouth. let's just say it's going to be a long time before i eat at KFC again. the only other noteworthy thing i did during the day was to prepare a cardboard coffin filled with styrofoam peanuts for my broken telephoto lens. i'm sending it out tomorrow morning. also on the agenda tomorrow: finally switching over the motorcycle registration so i can once more park in front of my house in cambridge without getting a ticket. i still have three tickets pending in various status and still awaiting the result of my latest appeal.

in the evening i headed over to aunt and uncle's place in arlington to have dinner with my family. my aunt prepared a big feast in honor of my grandmother's visit. later matthew gave us a tour of the various things he has growing in his garden, from tomatillos, to some sort of chinese melons, to cantaloupes.
