11:29am

what i really need is a day to recuperate from this past weekend of parading. but as you know, monday morning is business time, as i crawled from my bed to my desk to begin the work week.

sometime before noon i went to the garden to do some watering. i haven't watered since thursday. i saw they did some more work in the common area, including pruning the lower branches of the mulberry tree. somehow that seemed too little too late as most of the berries are already covering my plot. soon they will rot and when i walk on them to water my plants, i am making mulberry juice for the worms to drink.

my mother came over in the afternoon to get some of the lychees i bought yesterday. after tasting one she screamed, "it's rotten!" after a quick inspection she told me i got suckered and bought a bag of bad lychees. i should've realized something was wrong when i heard how cheap it was. i think in my haste to get some fresh lychees, i failed to inspect the goods. thank you new york city chinatown for offering me an important life lesson!

lunch: corn pop cereal and a drake's devil dog. dinner: hot dogs and some rice pudding.
