grassy islands surrounded by a sea of ice

no matter how hard i try i always have a difficult time going to sleep in a timely manner. like a badly behaving boy, something in me just doesn't know when it's bedtime and i fight to stay conscious for as long as possible as if my very life depended on it. as a result of my nocturnal habits, i end up waking late as well. of course the start of daylight saving time (spring forward) doesn't help matters much either: i didn't get out of bed until well after 1pm, and only because my mother called me asking me to bring bread to dinner. i woke up, fed the fish, used the bathroom, and started baking a jalapeño bread. i ran out of monterey jack cheese (only had some moldy cheddar cheese) and went next door to get some from the supermarket.

my parents came to get me after they got out of work. i showed up in belmont with my freshly baked bread to accompany the hot pot we'd be having for tonight. with all this extra daylight, i went out into the backyard to stroll around, taking photos of various things melting on the lawn.

my godmother dropped by while we were having dinner and we invited her to stay. after he finished eating, my father went to bed and fell asleep. later my sister gave me a ride back to cambridge. after watching the latest battlestar galactica, i went to bed. while browsing a fish catalog, the idea suddenly dawned on me: i could repair that cracked 10 gallon aquarium in my basement with some silicone sealant! that would up my total aquariums to five! something to think about while i try to get some early sleep.
