that one remaining surviving guppy from the first batch will be 2 months old this weekend. its dark fins have started to show some color but i still can't quite tell if it's a boy or a girl. i also think it's gotten its tail fin nipped at some point, perhaps during a feeding frenzy. at last count, there are still 9-10 baby guppies. they seem to be hanging on despite the lack of good hiding places. that cave? i saw a female guppy swim through it today so i guess it's not a good place to hide if you don't want to get eaten. i noticed some more brown algae on the glass so i did another quarter water change.

an tao and his wife came back home around 4pm, whipped up some mushroom soup which they shared with me, before they went back out again, this time to visit the museum of fine arts.

i don't understand enough spanish to be fluent, but still that doesn't prevent me from watching my favorite show at 5pm, primer impacto on telemundo.

i worked until 8pm and reheated some thai leftover for dinner. an tao and his wife came home around 9pm and decided to make a loaf of bread, which i supervised. it was a jalapeño bread minus the jalapeños. we had the right mixture of ingredients for a perfect dough but when the bread was finally done around midnight, it was slightly concaved just like last time. i'm trying to figure out if there's a common theme. maybe it's because we're not using bread machine flour.
