eliza called me this morning around 9:40 asking for some directions. i woke up but because it was so cold, i crawled into bed to watch some television and fell back asleep, not waking up until after noontime. from the living room i looked out into the street, trying to decide if i should go out for a run, but chose to stay indoors instead. i played around with wireless file transfers, filled out a rebate form, downloaded more northern soul songs, and scanned some nature artifacts i found in a notebook: a luna moth wing, bluejay feather, orange hawkweed flowers ("devil's paintbrush"), and some dragonfly wings (one from a 12-spotted skimmer). for the most part i leave nature alone, but occasionally i take a souvenir. elsewhere in my house there are orphaned pinecones, rocks from various places, and i think even some dog teeth and a sun-bleached chicken bone i found on a beach one time.

in the evening i went with my parents to sears so they could buy an elliptical exercise machine. in order to get an additional $15 discount they were trying to qualify for a sears credit card which took a long time. afterwards we returned to my place where we had rice noodles for dinner.

tonight i've beaten yet another colossus, the one that crawls up the walls with the weak legs but the deadly gas/electricity attacks. all this killing, makes me yearn for those simpler days of katamari damacy, although i think all games are designed to infuriate and leave one with sore thumbs at the end of the day.
