more days

i woke up before ang tao for a change, at 9:30am. i thought he'd already left before i saw his shoes were still in the foyer. he didn't wake up until an hour later, ate some breakfast, then rode the bike to the research lab to work. as for me, i ate a salmon cream cheese bagel and spent the day moving as little as possible in a strategy to stay cool, watching some baseball and women's golf on television. my upper back still hurts from yesterday morning, when i slept on it wrong and now every twist of my torso brings shooting pain. in the evening i went to belmont to get a haircut from my mother and to have her hem a pair of traveling pants. we had barbecue for dinner, electing to eat inside with the newly installed air-conditioner.
