new england spring weather goes back to normal again with temperature soaring into the 70's. it was warm enough that i spent the whole day in my t-shirt and underwear, catching up on some coding so i can spend all of tomorrow naturing. my mother dropped by in the afternoon with a box of pastries that i ate later for dinner. i told her about my tentative plans to travel to nepal, then via transportation into tibet and southern provinces of china like yunnan and guizhou. i'd love to return to burma again if possible and since i'm in the area maybe visit bhutan. i've got 2 months to figure out a more concrete game plan.

taking advantage of the nice change of weather, in the late afternoon i went out for a run. i find having some music and gum definitely helps to make it less boring than it usually is. it was actually too warm for comfort and i wanted to go topless but fear of exposing my out-of-shape body kept my clothed throughout. it was amazing photo weather though, with the sun casting an orange glow on the rowers practicing on the river, i may return tomorrow to get some snapshots. i didn't feel like puking afterwards, so that's an improvement at least.

something weird was on television this evening: the scifi channel for some reason was airing episodes of SVU. what does sex crimes have to do with science fiction? apparently the tie-in has to do with the horror of these criminal acts and the selected episodes all featured psychopaths. it was also only a one-night special event. i caught the red sox game as well, victory over the bluejays (finally).
