for lunch i went down to tacos lupita for some more huaraches con lengua de res (this was only my second time even though i rave about this place all the time; my first time was back in december). a large animated spanish-speaking family was eating at a table, with at another table an older brother was eating with his younger brother. i ordered take-out and brought it back home, eating my delicious el salvadoran food in front of my computer in my bedroom, where after many days i finally acquired a copy of os x 10.4.3. the first time i saw "tiger" was in an apple store in downtown bangkok, so it's been almost a year since this system's been out, but i'm only now installing it on my machine. i fell immediately in love with dashboard, loaded with all sorts of widgets. i also like the new slideshow feature. i had some problems importing my mail - it seemed to freeze up in one particular directory, i removed it and everything worked fine. then the previews in column view didn't work, and i fixed that by upgrading to quicktime 7.0.4 and os x 10.4.5.

in the evening i watched the hustle marathon on AMC while having some ramen for dinner.
