this day, a blur, my mind, fuzzy. last monday's deadline moved to last thursday then was postponed to today but once again pushed back until tomorrow. closing out a project is the hardest thing to do. even when it's over you can never be quite sure it won't come back months or years later with some uncaught bug to fix. i just want to be released. hopefully by the end of this week 2 projects (from 2 clients) will be done. i intend to recuperate fully once they're finished. (how much would it cost to fly to mexico for a week?) it's like the entire month of january, and now february, they've gone by so fast, i'm completely missing them. not that there's much to see or do during the winter, but still.

soup from a can for lunch, frozen pizza from a toaster oven for dinner. my hometown used to print next week's school cafeteria lunch menu in the local newspaper. i wonder if they still do that? my fondest school lunch memories are eating rectangular tiles of greasy pizza, each one dotted with two red pepperoni circles which were a much sought after commodity item. our elementary school cafeteria was also our gym and our performance hall.

as a treat, i'm going to turn up the heat to 68 degrees for a few hours before returning my house back into a refrigerator.
