dan and i grabbed the 83 bus out of porter square and went to central square to catch rob's art show at the middle east. i remember when i first met rob many years ago in the early days of screen house, he had a habit of carrying around this painting of a pharoah's portrait he was working on, as if to show the world he was, in fact, a painter. and to think one day it'd all lead to this! rob's style features a lot of splashy colors and a fondness for all that's egyptian and all that's kate moss. half the people were invited guests, while the other half were patrons who enjoy spending a sunday afternoon hanging out at a bar-restaurant. there were plates of food for the early birds, and 4 bottles of wine that were brought out as the afternoon wore on.

dan and i grabbed the subway back to porter square (i got to ride free on dan's MBTA pass). i took a short nap before i had the last of my rigatoni with vodka sauce for dinner. i promised myself i'd do some work this weekend but looks like i'm not going to keep my word.
