all this work has really taken a toll on my diet and my health. i often times forget to eat, and i haven't gone running in days. one thing that hasn't suffered though is my sleep; i think i've been getting the best sleep in a long time, averaging 7-8 hours a night (when i had a full-time job, i only averaged 5-6 hours). it helps that my morning commute just involves me getting out of bed and crossing over behind a desk to start working. it's also a lot easier to sleep after an exhausting day of coding. my brain thirsts for unconsciousness, a much-needed break from thinking. it's weird, but i've been having a lot of vivid dreams the past few days, i can't explain it, but it certainly does make going to sleep more exciting.

today was another workalicious day. from the moment i woke up i was working and i didn't stop until 8pm. my upstairs neighbors were noisily raking the backyard so i was afraid to open my blinds (otherwise they'd see me), so i coded in my dimly-lit bedroom. despite putting in a 9 hour work day, the project still isn't finished yet. the good news is it's not due until next monday, but the bad news is i have to return the ultrafast loan machine tomorrow, which means i'll be returning to my slow PC. by evening i was completely fried, and i couldn't work anymore. i uploaded the files and wrote the client an e-mail to report the latest status. i had a pot pie for dinner (yup, there was another one hiding in the freezer) followed by some watermelon then i took a bath to relax.
