maybe i felt a little guilty for sleeping so late yesterday so this morning i got up earlier, around 9:40am. jawei had already left, gone to foxwoods for the day, to try his luck at an american-style casino. i was hungry, but didn't feel like eating any pumpkin pie, so i made fresh blueberry muffins instead in miniature bundt cake molds (the last time i did this was over 2 years ago). i ate two muffins then watched television on the couch for the rest of the day.

i think i might be coming down with something. past few days i've developed a bit of a cough and my body felt sore for reason. it could just be because i slept on it wrong again, but i felt worn down, like the start of the flu. my father came by after work and we waited for my mother and jawei to call us to let us know they've returned. we met them in chinatown and had dinner at ocean wealth.

we came back to my place to have some of that flan i made yesterday. after my parents left, jawei prepared for his return home tomorrow morning. i watched a two-hour special law & order: criminal investigation; pretty good stuff, i think i'm going to add it to my repertoire of other law & order dramas.
