i worked a full 8 hours today in my bedroom slash home office. by 6pm i was exhausted, my brain fried from thinking too much all day, stripped down to my boxers to fight the heat, my body slick with sweat. my upstairs neighbor steve slipped me a note through my mail slot, said he'd be away at martha's vineyard for a week and asked if i could water his plants. while in the bathroom brushing my teeth after having some leftover ribs for lunch, i noticed that my maxfresh colgate toothpaste with breath strips resemble little square pixels. the thought of brushing my teeth with pixels amused me in that way crazy people get when they spend too much quality time alone by themselves. i could've gone the whole day dressed in nothing more than my underwear were it not for the flash rainstorm in the evening. i had to go outside and move my motorcycle to higher ground so i wouldn't find it underwater in the morning. i had the last of my leftover lasagna for dinner then quietly turned on the air-conditioner in the living room for a night of cool indulgence.

oh, i love discovering hot new shows on cable! tonight i watched an episode of starved followed by it's always sunny in philadelphia. starved featured a man crawling on the hospital floor while his colonic irrigation sprays out water like a geyser from his backend. while on philadelphia the episode revolved around abortion (trust me, it's funny) and next week they tackle underaged drinking. looks like the yuck yucks are back on thursday nights!

i'm really starting to get into this whole short hair business. it's so low maintenance, i don't have to really wash it, and i don't have to worry about waking up in the morning with my hair sticking up. it's been less than 2 weeks since my haircut and i'm already thinking about getting it trimmed again. it's probably something i could do on my own, but i rather have somebody spot me so i don't miss any areas. maybe i could have a shaving party at my place, something for the guys. maybe that didn't sound right.
