after a bit of internet hiatus, i returned to yangon today and found myself back at the only internet cafe i've seen in all of myanmar. the past 10 days i've been to bagan, mandalay, and inle lake. i had to buy yet another bag in mandalay to hold all the souvenirs i've accumulated. this morning i got back into the capital at around 5am after a 17 hour bus ride from inle lake.

i'm here (back at the mayshan hotel) for 2 days, then i leave monday morning, bangkok then a connecting flight to taipei. as far as i'm concerned, my southeast asia trip is pretty much over, and the next few days will be spent in relative ease, collecting a few more souvenirs, getting ready to leave, thinking about all the food i'm going to eat in taiwan! (i'm down to 120 lbs., lost about 10-15 lbs.)
