making this quick, still have a lot of work to do tonight, contract coding and burning some cd's. i actually had breakfast this morning, cereal, but there was too much sugar and i was wired for the rest of the day, which is good, because i went running in the afternoon, by myself, kristine was out to lunch, alex went home because he felt sick. i ran fast, stopping to walk at the halfway mark, then starting back up again. passing people is what i live for, and i run better when there's somebody right in front of me but far enough away that i can't quite catch up. i observed construction workers pause for a moment of silence when an attractive girl wearing spandex shorts passed by them on her rollerblades.
when i got back to the office i was sweating, aches in my shins and ankles. i went to chinatown real quick to get some pastries ($1.20). adam and i were the last people in the office, i took the time to do some coolpix 4500 research. found a place that was selling them for $510 and i can't redeem the camera for the rebate, which makes me wonder if they're not collecting it themselves, cutting off the upc code and cashing it in for the $200. i came home, but not before buying an october subway pass from south station, $35. to truly get my money's worth, i'd have to ride the subway 35 times, or 18 round trips, three and half weeks of commuting. still, it's been a while since i've had a mbta pass of any kind, not since i was laid off. i'm getting back into the swing of things. getting the pass is like a membership card to the exclusive "i commute via public transportation to work" club, just like the hundreds of thousands of people who do it everyday. i'm a part of the working class again. sure, it's thrilling now, but i wonder how long this love will last? i had ramen for dinner and two ice cream sandwiches. i watched some more hellsing, and now i'm ready to work again. coding, round two, ding ding.

and in honor of september,
