sunday is usually my least productive day of the week. didn't leave my house the whole day, even during that brief warm stretch we had today, just stayed home, made lunch (leftover chicken on a bagel), watched some basketball games, wrote a few more lines of php code (assigning color styles for each weblog entries, cleaned up the admin tool a little bit more). i did watch signs on ppv, i think it's m. night shyamalan's weakest film, especially since he has a much bigger role as a character in the movie. it's not as much of a science fiction (about alien invasion) as it is a touchy-feely tearjerker about faith and love and the lives of normal people in the face of something much bigger than they are. the ending was cool, but i already knew about the surprise, which kind of ruined it for a me a little bit. from a scientific standpoint though, it doesn't make sense, but i'm willing to cut the movie some slack. overall it was okay film, although it could've easily been condensed into a 30 minute twilight zone episode.

my parents came over for dinner, we had some meat buns, then they promptly left afterwards. later tonight i have some lingo debug work to do, a single annoying bug that has been resistant to fixing. thought i took care of it last sunday, but on thursday i got the results and the bug is still there, some uncooperative printing error that might have something to do with the buddy api. i'll be happy when it's done so i can go to bed early.
