you know, watching memento the second time around was no less confusing nor any less of a strain on the brain than the first time. just thinking about the movie, trying to piece everything together so it makes sense chronologically is quite a mental burden. i hope when this movie comes out on dvd that there's a special cut on the disc that allows you to play the movie in the proper sequence. seen chronologically, i don't think the movie is anything special, but it'll definitely help me sleep at nights to see this movie forwards instead of backwards. the movie is also quite long, and parts of it gets kind of boring. and just like the first time, towards the end i started having bathroom urges (too much pepsi) and i just prayed for the movie to be over quickly. it became quite the sensory experience as whatever pain leonard was feeling in the movie i was feeling the same kind of pain in my bladder. the large buttered popcorn amanda and i shared didn't help matters very much either. i definitely reached my popcorn intake threshold tonight. we were hoping to finish the whole bag before the trailers were over so i could quickly run out and grab a refill (free refills on all large popcorns), but that was not to be the case, and when the movie was over, there was still some popcorn left in the bag.
