i was trying to catch the season premiere of sex in the city but i accidently fell asleep before 9pm and only woke up to quickly brush my teeth, the whole time thinking, "oh no i didn't floss!" i woke up again at 7am in the morning, having slept for 10 hours on a "school" night. now this never happens to me. in the past, my regular sleep time was 2-3am, waking up at 8am to go to work. usually a night's worth of sleep for me is somewhere between 5-6 hours. but on this night something just happened, sleep got the better of me, and i feel into a deep slumber. i woke up feeling absolutely refreshed though. i wasn't tired and i rode the bus to work with a smile, feeling pretty content and just amazed how much better a monday morning feels after 10 sweet hours of unconsciousness. so i might have discovered the secret of chasing away those monday morning blues: a lot of sleep sunday night. as to whether i'm be able to pull a repeat performance, i very much doubt it. but it's nice to know what happens when it does happen -- once in a rare while.
