i biked down to pemberton farm this morning to look for some plants to put in my garden. they've since redesigned their outdoor store, with more room for flowers and small trees and the garden seedlings more of an afterthought, a few banks of tall shelving carts up against the sunny side of the building. selection was limited, but they did have some traditional six-packs ($3.49/each), so i picked up a hot salsa peppers and 'better boy' tomatoes. they also had a water garden with some lilypads and colorful koi fishes. i also got a 1. cu. ft. bag of coast of maine monhegan blend black earth premium top soil ($8).

the last time i went to walden pond was back in july 2011.

i finished watching the finale of HBO's chernobyl. i didn't realize it was just 5 episodes. but overall a very satisfying conclusion to the story. i've also been listening to the HBO podcast with the show creator, and doing my own reading on chernobyl.
