the official high in boston today was 78°F. i spent the early part of the day in my backyard cleaning the chains and gears of my trek and fuji. i wasn't smart enough when i cleaned the trek, but by the time i got to the fuji i wore a pair of disposable gloves. i got a chance to do a side-by-side comparison between the ross road bike and the fuji road bike. for some reason i thought i noticed the fuji wheels were smaller but they're the exact same size, 27x1-1/4".

i rode the fuji to the supermarket to get some groceries. without any sort of baskets, i had to get creative carrying anything home: i used the bungie netting to strap everything to the rear rack.

i wanted to introduce my roommate to american hot dogs for dinner but he seems to be a creature of habit and just had more of his noodles. there wasn't any big bang theory on television but seemed to really enjoy watching man vs. food. his bike helmet arrived today, a white bell XLV in size XL. it's so large it looks like a novelty item but he finally found a helmet that fits him.
