i woke up early for my dentist appointment in allston at 10:00. it wasn't something i was looking forward to because after eating my way through china for more than a year, i needed a lot of work on my teeth: from the cracked molar on my upper left to a lost filling on my upper right, and who knew what else was wrong.

i crossed the JFK bridge, down north harvard street, to franklin, riding over the mass turnpike via the pedestrian bridge, then down harvard avenue to commonwealth. this was my first visit to allston center since i've been back. the one new thing i noticed was the number of korean restaurants everywhere. i parked by bicycle in front of the mcdonald's and went upstairs to the dentist office.

my last visit was almost exactly 2 years ago.
