* fengya invited mr.guo her boss to chishui as well and he in turn invited the girlfriend of one of his employees (not sure how that works). fengya felt bad afterwards, because apparently mr.guo has a reputation for hijacking travel plans. we went ahead and bought bus tickets leaving chongqing for chishui (8:45am thursday morning). i could see what fengya was talking about when mr.guo said he hired a car to take us to chongqing thursday morning. if he asked me earlier, he would've known i was planning on leaving for chongqing after work tomorrow so i can hang out in the city at night.

* 10 minutes into my bus ride home i realized i left my house key at the office. i sat the remaining 20 minutes of the ride in a panic, figuring out my strategy. i had little choice but to hire a taxi to take me back to the office and then back into town. it'd cost me about RMB$100, but what could i do? fengya saw me when i got off the bus and asked what was wrong. she told me she could try calling someone at the office - one of the late shift workers - and see if they can bring back my key for me so i wouldn't have to waste money and time going back into the office. she got in touch with one of the filipino guys who she also originally invited him to go with his to chishui but he didn't have enough vacation days. it was hard to hear him on the phone, but after a lengthy explanation, he finally 1) found my desk and 2) found my key. he said he'd bring it back after work, around 8:15pm. in the meantime, fengya went home to wash her hair while i just hung around the area. i went to the smaller supermarket before going to the mall. at the mall i saw mr.guo, who was having dinner with some girl and mr.ma.
