2011

julie came over today to return my external hard drive case. she was using it for her old 80gb drive while she upgraded to a new 500gb drive. the 80gb had issues and julie was just going to toss it if i didn't want it. she also showed me her new ipad which she got as an office christmas present from where she works. i'd seen the ipad before but julie seemed to have really taken advantage of all its features, reading magazines, listening to radios, and watching movies. while the ipad is great for surfing the web, it's not very good if you need to work with multiple windows or intend to do a lot of cutting and pasting. before she left, i handed her a jar of homemade quince jelly.

with my layers of winter clothes along with my gear (camera equipment and computer), that's an additional 24 lbs. i'm hauling whenever i make the trip to my parents' place. is it any wonder that the 3 mile trip feels like it takes forever? my bags are also slung across both shoulders because i'm afraid of the shock that might occur with anything placed in the basket.

zero word from the client today, which i take as good news. i'll definitely be more ready to work starting tomorrow, especially if a snowstorm is scheduled to blanket boston late tuesday night. just have to remember to make a grocery run before the roads become inaccessible via bicycle.
