my mother and sister helped me stuff clothes into separate boxes as i got my norwegian shipments ready (a ralph lauren spending binge). we removed plastic sleeves and boxes and all price labels. in order to avoid paying duty taxes, i have to declare the merchandise i'm sending are worth less than $150 (they're actually worth a bit more than that, like 12x more). the post office clerk in belmont also asked for a more detailed description other than just "baby clothes." i scribbled some numbers, hoping the boxes make it to oslo without any problems.

not much else happened the rest of the day. the thunderstorm that was supposed to arrive in the late afternoon was postponed until later in the evening (around midnight). it was a hot day as every single fan and air conditioner was turned on at my parents' place.

my roommate was home when i got back, but i never saw her, even when she was going back and forth to the bathroom. not even a courtesy hi. i probably won't see her until tomorrow night at the earliest. it's for the best, less chit chat, more tv watching.

my motorcycle battery charger was supposed to arrive today but it's still "out for delivery." the carrier is a company called lasership, which sounds more like a scifi term rather than a legitimate shipping company. maybe that's why it never got here. or maybe they're going to warp the spacetime fabric and get it to me yesterday tomorrow.
