my father came to pick me up in the afternoon so i could go over to my 2nd aunt's place and fix her cable. it'd snowed a little bit early in the morning, but then transitioned into rain. now it was snowing again, in large wet clumps. the cable problem turned out to be exactly that: a bad cable wire was interfering with the reception. with that fixed, my father was supposed to drive me back home, but he had two food deliveries to make, so i tagged along.

before he was done, he got a call alerting him to two more deliveries. while he went to get the packages, i was in the restaurant/cafe parking lot, shoveling the snow, which by now had accumulated more than an inch. it was only later i realized they actually hire a plow truck to clear the parking lot, so all that work was for naught (i only managed to clear about a fifth anyway).

once i came home, i changed into my more heavy duty winter clothes and went back outside wearing my boots and carrying my umbrella. i walked to harvard square looking for interesting photo ops. conditions were pretty miserable. despite the umbrella, my jacket was still covered in windblown snow. when i finally returned home, i was pretty much soaked from head to toe.

after shoveling the walk, i did a water change on my 2 aquariums, before finally taking a shower. for dinner i had some noodles my mother made me while i was at the cafe earlier.
