went down to jamaica plain this afternoon, where eliza was having a yard sale prior to her move to paris in january. i saw her baby for the very first time and got some updates. i ended up buying a wooden jewelry box for my sister for $10. eliza and romain gave me some twine to tie it to my bag so i could carry it back home via motorcycle.

i caught the second half of the patriots-dolphins game when i got back home. other than the super bowl, the pats haven't lost a game in a long time (not since 2006). so it was extra shocking not only to lose today, but to lose against the dolphins, whom we've beaten for a record consecutive 20+ time. there goes the perfect season!

i went to belmont in the late afternoon for dinner. i was surprised to see that it started to rain as soon as it got dark, since most of the day was clear blue sky weather. i waited for the rain to stop before making it back to cambridge. i finished watching the rest of the emmy awards, nothing especially noteworthy.

i thought about doing some work tonight but i'm very sleepy for some reason. i think i might decide to get a good night's sleep and wake up tomorrow completely refreshed for another busy week of coding.
